Following a campaigning 'lonely hearts' feature back in 1997, our office was inundated with mail from country-dwelling singles looking for love. In those early days, our dedicated team acted as match-makers by passing on letters between those who wrote in. The hard work paid off - not only did our endeavours bring hundreds of people together, our initiative also became an award-winning TV series.
Since then, the Farmer Wants a Wife has grown to become a global phenomenon. Our TV shows air in more than 20 countries, helping to find life partners for people across the world from Continental Europe to Australia. And now, to make things easier, our dating service is available online.
What's more, you don't have to be a farmer to sign up - the Farmer Wants a Wife is for anyone and everyone whose heart is in the country and who would love to meet their soulmate.
