My interests are of an artistic nature: gardening, photography, nature study, nature walks, cycling, generally being outside in the sun and fresh air, writing.
Love learning new things, hence, went to uni in my 40's and not in my teens.
Radio 2 is ALWAYS on in my house, unless I've got R6M, rather than a TV...the hypo-box should not rule our lives, but enhance it. Currently don't even have a TV licence, Sky or Netflix, so I have no idea what the recent 'must watch' series is. Music, theatre and live performances make my life complete; either watching or taking part. I particularly love playing at music sessions or going to gigs at a local pub.
I hate waste of any type; food, resources of any sort (am sometimes accused of hoarding because of my mantra 'it'll be useful for something') and LOVE recycling/upcycling stuff.
Given the chance, I'd love to be visiting National Trust places, enjoying RHS gardens or similar and enjoying my natural surroundings and cultural heritage (bleurgh, sounds terribly high-brow, but I'm not at all)
My faith is important to my life but I'm not fanatical. I know what I believe and would like to share that with somebody, not fight with someone over it.
My kids mean everything to me; kept me going when I could have quit.
Happily relax with a bit of line ink doodling, watercolour dabbling, reading biographies, going to the theatre.
Should I mention here that I have a full motorbike licence??
Should I mention I work in an Autistic Spectrum Specialist School in rural Derbyshire?
Why am I here? Because I'd like to share my days with Someone special. Have a Someone who knows I love them and to know that I'm loved too?? (is that too mushy??) I'm not sure that this is the best way to find that Someone because it's best to actually talk to someone, see them, be with them and get a sense of their personality, but that said, this is worth a go, isn't it?

A garden/nature lover. Somebody who is happy outdoors in the fresh air walking, appreciating nature, or cycling or walking for pleasure.
Equally at home relaxing together and not always out on a thrill seeking mission.
A mutually respectful appreciation of family commitments and family relationships... Family is important, but so is also having a life with friends and not cutting out everyone else.
A partner should want to share their life with someone else...warts an' all, but not try to change them into something they are not ever going to be.
Oh, and a photo would be nice...after all, you wouldn't buy a sweater without seeing it first, would you?
