About her
I may be 60 but I still have dreams. I have many aspects of my life sorted including a lovely home in the countryside, a very successful career, a part-time business and two wonderful adult children. I have lived and worked abroad but am now happily back where I started. I am a country lady who enjoys being outdoors but I am equally at home debating current affairs around the table in a little black dress or presenting my proposals in the boardroom of a Plc.
I am intelligent, creative and interested in most things except celebrities, motorbikes and football! I would prefer to spend my weekends having fun on the farm in the rain rather than melting on a beach somewhere too hot. I would choose to spend time immersed in the familiar French countryside rather than venture further afield into the unknown. I enjoy art and photography, going to antique fairs, open gardens and countryside events. I equally love live music at the local pub and going to Glyndebourne. I have recently bought a Fitbit and am pleased to say that I average around 10,000 steps a day without 'going for a walk' so I am generally active. I have horses, a dog and a cat that all keep me busy. I also love swimming but prefer warm water!
I am independent and enjoy my time alone but I also love having company, talking and laughing, doing things together. I am practical and good at finding solutions to problems, either to benefit myself or for others. I have worked on several community projects and am very interested in ecological and environmental sustainability so am currently improving the wildlife habitats around my home. However I am, and always will be an old-fashioned farmer at heart, embracing all the responsibilities that go with owning land.
So far I have had an interesting and at times an exciting life, but now I am starting a new chapter and hope to meet someone special to enhance whatever comes next.

I guess it is too obvious to say that I came onto this site (Farmer wants a wife) looking for a farmer, or at least someone who has a genuine understanding of the countryside! No vegetarians please.
I am not needy and don't expect it in others. I don't take life too seriously and am not particularly interested in other people's emotional baggage. I am looking for someone who wants to have fun, an optimist like me, with a dream...
