I’m a cheerful, friendly optimist. I’m caring, reliable, easy going, patient and laugh a lot.
I love the great outdoors with the wind blowing in my hair, walking, swimming in the sea, visiting open gardens and gardening ( my favourite hobby), or, driving across the Moors and down country lanes enjoying the scenery. I’m a keen traveller and often go house sitting in Australia during the winter.
Indoor hobbies include all board games, cards, Mah Jong, crosswords and jigsaws. I love cats and have one spoilt moggy.
I dislike shopping.
My taste in music is mainly light classics but I also like country music and anything that makes me want to dance. I’m a fan of Classic FM and Radio 4. I don’t watch any soaps but sometimes listen to the Archers.
I enjoy cooking, baking and making preserves. I have a very small garden but manage to grow some veg as well as flowers and plants.
I’m philosophical about life and always calm in a crisis!

I like a man who smiles a lot and has a great sense of humour. He’d need to be honest, fun, dependable, good tempered and kind.
Activities to share could be walking, gardening, travelling, theatre, and pretty much anything outdoors. Must be a non smoker and social only drinker. We’d need to have comfortable times of companionable silence, reading or listening to classical music as well as having mad moments of hilarity.
I’d really like to have a dancing partner as I need to dance. Sadly I’ve never had a partner who felt the same!
