About her
Let’s try again. I like my life. I’m really glad that I’m alive and not on any medication. Swimming, Pilates and walking are keeping me fit but the bike needs some tlc before it’s roadworthy again.
I tend to keep these descriptions quite short because I’m saving my more expressive paragraphs for the book I’m writing. Hopefully it will be as humorous as my friends say I am. They also tell me I’m kind and compassionate.
My home is open to all my friends and the extended family I have from years in education and fostering. It doesn’t take me long to whizz up a batch of scones or a healthy meal. My best friend is Asian and my cookery book shelf is groaning so I can offer meals from across the globe.
Speaking of the globe, I love to travel whether on a luxury cruise or roughing it in a backpackers. It’s the adventure that appeals to me. Home or abroad, there’s so much to see but it’s more fun watching the sun go down with someone by your side.
I’ve got a busy year ahead as I’ve lines to re-learn for a play at the Crucible, the book to finish, holidays planned and some voluntary work here and there. My cards for NT and English Heritage mean I can pop into so many places for a cuppa. And when I’m quietly at home I read, crochet, knit and get out the puzzle books.
It’s hard to think of any music I don’t like. I’ve started going to theatres again and love the atmosphere. I’ve never been to an opera - yet!
In the past three years, I’ve challenged myself by flying on a zip wire, hovering in a Rip-cord tube and swimming with sharks. I’m not a fast swimmer but I love snorkelling. I’ve seen lots of men who go in small sail boats on here. I’m ok when they keep moving, but please can you tell me how to stop the churning stomach when the boat is bobbing up and down on one spot?!
I’m looking for a friend. Someone who might like the occasional night out to see if we can have a laugh or even a romantic spark. And if that happens, who knows? Thanks for reading. Oh and I love to hug and hold hands.

My ideal match would be honest and a good friend. He would be an entertaining speaker and compassionate listener. Someone who would accept that I’m a bit of an extrovert at times yet shy at others.
