About her
Outgoing but happy in my own company. Friends would describe me as a good conversationalist non judgemental and I take people as I find them. Good sense of humour, which has been described by others as a little quirky and irreverent at times, but not cruel.
I have been to several countries and enjoyed them all. However, by far my most favourite place is Italy, beautiful country, lovely people, and great food! Being half Italian, I could, of course, be considered a little biased.
I love animals, wildlife and dislike intensely cruelty in any shape or form. Worked in the NHS, both clinical and support services. I also worked in Social Services for many years, my final post was as Transport Manager in my local area. Great job, lovely staff, I was sad to leave.
As well as my own dogs, I have fostered for Irish Retriever Rescue for 5years and as I lost my beautiful GSD April of this year, I have adopted a puppy farm breeding bitch recently so I now have two dogs and one rescue cat. I hope anyone who is interested in getting to know me more would be an animal lover as they play quite an important part in my life. I volunteer at the local hospital, just helping out where I’m needed.
My husband died 3yrs ago, following a 30 year battle with MS, and in later life other health issues. Spent many years caring for him, that’s part and parcel of married life if you love someone, you accept what is given. However, now I would like to have some fun and do the things I haven’t been able to do for some time. At present, all I would want is a great person with similar interests. Good conversation. Go out for a drink or a meal, the theatre, cinema etc. Who knows what could happen in the future, if it develops into a loving relationship, then all well and good. Probably a little too much to ask, but I would rather be honest from the start.

How can you describe an ideal match! Compromise is a day to day necessity. You meet someone and usually you know if it’s someone you want to know more about. Naturally, you would like a kind, thoughtful person, someone who has similar likes and dislikes. An animal lover is essential for me and an interest in the environment perhaps. It goes without saying that a good sense of humour, similar in outlook with good conversation skills!
At present, it would be really good to have someone who would enjoy theatre trips, days out, walking ending with a pub lunch perhaps. Equally, having evenings in, watching tv, films with a nice bottle of wine and even take out perhaps.
