About her
How to sum up more than fifty years of life... I started as a dreamer, who became a perpetual traveler. Energetic and smiley, I discovered new places until I finally calmed down where the Alps meet the Mediterranean and it's always sunny.
Over twenty years I lived for traveling and traveled for a living. Traveling created a lifestyle of “the unbearable lightness of freedom”:) I have spent a great deal of my adult life in two suitcases, traveling the globe, looking less for places but for experiences and people that aided my growth and enriched my life. It´s been my path for self discovery and growth and somehow I am all the places I have been to, all the people I've met on my journeys.
I often wondered if, when and where I would settle down. Finally I found a place to call home: A small wooden cabin with an open view, surrounded by a piece of land that needs loving care after being abandoned for years. Even in its current state, I call it the "lovely place". A place to live a simple life, to plant a vegetable garden and fruit trees, with chicken, geese, rabbits, some sheep roaming around and a Great Pyrenees guarding over. A place where to get quiet in the evening, talk about the day, plan for tomorrow in the flickering light of candles.
Life can be more beautiful when shared:)
To be woken up by the rooster at sunrise,
Drinking a freshly brewed coffee on the terrace.
Talking about the chores of the day ahead,
Sharing them in the traditional way,
Proven by the generations before.
She collects the eggs that are still warm,
He fixes the fence broken by the boars.
Yet, some work is just easier accomplished together.
Planting, harvesting, canning with the seasons,
Cooking according to what is ripe in the garden,
And in the evening, under the sheltering sky,
Sharing a dinner and the events of the day.
Feeling gratitude for the simple things in life.

I don't really have a checklist written in stone, just points that could be common. I simply search for someone to share life with. I do believe that couples that play together - stay together.
I value frankness. I say what I think and therefore mean what I say. I value this quality in others as well as life can get unnecessarily complicated otherwise.
I appreciate self confidence based on the life one has lived and the choices one has made. It's good to like yourself and to be content with the life you have created. To live and learn and not to dwell so much in regrets. I wish to respect and to be respected by the significant other in my life.
A kind man with common sense who can fix and build and have other "manly" skills beneficial on a homestead would be appreciated:)
